Rwanda Muzo Honey is a special lot of Red Bourbon grown at elevations between 1,570 and 2,200 meters in the Gakenke region of Rwanda’s Northern Province. The cherries come from smallholder farmers cultivating traditional, small-scale farms, and the harvest is processed at Muzo, one of Rwanda’s oldest and most respected washing stations, known for its consistent quality and its 2014 Cup of Excellence recognition.

The honey process highlights the coffee’s natural sweetness. Cherries are carefully sorted, pass through flotation tanks, and are then slowly dried for approximately 33 days with part of the mucilage still clinging to the beans. This method gives the coffee bright vibrancy, elevated sweetness, and pronounced aromatic complexity.

Muzo Washing Station and its partners invest in farmer development programs, education, protective equipment, access to clean water, and initiatives supporting women and youth in the community. Choosing this coffee directly supports these projects and contributes to the sustainable growth of the region.
