Owner Isacio Javier Albir Vilchez purchased Finca El Ciprés in 2010. He is a third-generation coffee producer, an economist, a father of three, and a passionate advocate for both coffee and environmental conservation.

The farm was initially used as cattle pasture, but over time, areas were gradually designated for coffee cultivation and forest growth. In 2016, Isacio planted 2,500 pine trees with the goal of reforesting the area.

The farm covers a total of 30 manzanas (1 manzana equals approximately 1.74 acres) and employs 15 permanent workers. Coffee is grown on about 25 manzanas at elevations between 1,160 and 1,400 meters above sea level. The farm cultivates varieties such as Marcellesa, Catuai, Java, Maracaturra, Parainema, Geisha, and Ovata under the shade of Bucaro trees (a local citrus species), as well as banana and guava trees.
